Don was a "class act", an outstanding lawyer and partner at Squire Sanders, a respected member of the legal community. It was a privilege to be one of his partners.
I know Don will be missed by his family and many, many others he worked with over the years.

Dear Sally,

My condolences on the death of Don. Sorry for the lateness of my note -- since Sept 24 we were visiting our oldest son and 6 yr old granddaughter in Portland and read of Don's passing upon our return home yesterday.

From my years in Squire Cleveland office from 1976 to 1985, I recall Don very fondly. He was a gentlemen and a very good lawyer. I did not have the opportunity to work extensively with him when I was in the Cleveland office , but the times I did were very good experiences. He was a fine mentor to me as a young associate and partner after 1981. I specifically recall, he very helpful assistance on a major expansion of Dayton airport and his insightful legal analysis of some difficult legal problems.

I recall fondly his inviting me to stay at your home on one of my business trips to Columbus after you had moved there. I recall your warm hospitality.

I appreciated your driving to Cleveland in Dec 2013 to attend my retirement party at Squire.

Again, my sympathies. I know you have many wonderful memories of your long marriage.

Warm and sympathetic regards,

Bob Olson

Dr. Wiper and family,
So sorry to hear of the passing of your father. I, too, have lost a great father and know what a loss you must feel right now. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. After reading this obit., it lets me know we were both blessed with a wonderful father. I believe you share your father's giving spirit as you are so ready to promote research and new treatments for women's health. Sincerely, Cheryl Myers, RN

Sara, Sara, Sara,

Our hearts are with you and Sally, your sister and brothers and all the grandchildren.

Please let us share what may be a small comforting thought or two at this trying time. Among the many happy memories we share with you are those hanging out with Biff and Sally and your brothers at the family manse in Granville. Meeting all at your wedding was a special treat enlivened merrily by Biff’s “giving-away” toast and the warm feelings your family generated among all present everywhere we saw them.

You have been such a thrill to know, with whom to enjoy classes, productions, long conversations and many events. We are so honored to have met Biff, Sally, your sibs and to have you care for Jesse. Never have we been so comfortable leaving either of our babies with anyone.

Today over a quarter century later, Biff’s warm sparkling eyes and ready, welcoming smile are fresh in mind. As you all know, his spirit lives in many, many ways but especially in yours and your extended families’ hearts and memories. May all rejoice in that to occasionally lighten grieving.

Love,

Broglio & Yoli

Sally,
My deepest sympathy to you and all your family at this most difficult time.
My move to NC almost a year ago was a wise and needed one, but Ganville and FPC are still a part of me.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I met Mr. Wiper several times at the GHS drama productions. He was always very supportive of the program and so proud of his daughter. He was a wonderful presence at the shows and was kind to everyone. He will be greatly missed.
