Thomas Showman Obituary

Thomas M. Showman an outdoorsman, hunter, and fisherman passed away at his home March 28, 2022, surrounded by family, at the age of 69. He was born in Granville, Ohio to the late Calvin and Evelyn “Juanita” Showman.

A 1971 graduate of Granville High School, Tom was employed “too damn long” (40 years) at Owens Corning Fiberglass as an electrician. He learned his trade at technical school.

Outdoors was Tom’s second home and he spent every moment he could there. He especially loved turkey hunting in Pennsylvania and fishing in Okeechobee. He loved sports and played basketball and softball with his fellow workers. Tom’s greatest pride was his family, and he will be loved and remembered as the iron-willed protector. His grandchildren were his world.

Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Jackey; sons, Scott (Tammy) Showman and Phillip Showman, daughter, Lori (Eric) Uhl; grandchildren, Jacob (Kania), Jeseca (John), Alexus, Dakota, Jared, and Alex; great grandchildren, Everett and Sawyer; siblings, Wesley “Gene” (Peggy) Showman, David (Sharon) Showman, Sandi Hughes, and Barbara Gasser; and his faithful Beagle, Anny.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie; sister, Linda; and brother-in-law, Steve Hughes.

A private service will be held at Tom’s request. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mcpeekhoekstra.com.
