Shelley J Burger Miller

A memorial service celebrating the life of Shelley J. Burger Miller, 57, of Columbus, will be held at 4:00 P.M. Friday, October 22, 2021 outside on the mounds at Moundbuilders Country Club, 125 N. 33rd St., Newark, Ohio with Rev. Jeff Smith as celebrant.

Shelley passed away doing something she loved, hiking, on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Mohican State Park on the Hemlock Gorge Trail. She was born in Newark, Ohio to Gary W. and Karen K. Burger.

Battling cancer the last five years, Shelley participated in Pelatonia twice and completed her MBA. She was a determined cancer survivor who loved music, hiking, biking, and the great outdoors. She will be remembered as a loving mother and a gregarious, personable, and caring, woman who could get things done.

A marketing and communications professional, Shelley worked in public relations at Capital University. She was a graduate of The Ohio State University and earned her MBA from Capital.

In addition to her parents, surviving are her children, Noah, Cierra, and Dominic Miller; sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Scott Allen; nephew, Miles; and the children’s father, Jake Miller.
