Rodney L. Butt

A graveside service celebrating the life of Rodney L. Butt, 59, of Granville, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Welsh Hills Cemetery in Granville with Rev. Casey Wilson as celebrant.

Rodney passed away May 6, 2021 at his home in Newark. He was born in Granville to Evelyn Foster Butt and the late Ralph L. Butt.

A retired golf professional, Rodney had been employed at the Granville Golf Course for 39 years. He was a graduate of Granville High School and The PGA Golf Management University Program. He coached at Denison University and was inducted into the Granville Athletic Hall of Fame. When not golfing, Rod enjoyed bass fishing around the country.

Surviving are his mother; children, Jason, Tyler, and Emily; brother, Kenneth Neil Butt; and nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Rodney was preceded in death by his brother, John Douglas Butt.
