Megan Rose (Hughes) Dixon
August 26, 1953 ~ April 16, 2023 (age 69) 69 Years Old
Megan Rose Dixon, age 69, of Granville, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at her home with her family by her side. Megan was born August 26, 1953 in Cambridge, Ohio to the late Martin O’Neil Hughes and the late Clarice Louise “Tice” (Rose) Hughes.
Megan received her nursing education from the Muskingum Area Technical College. She elected to retire from Central Ohio Geriatrics following a lengthy career as an L.P.N. in order to homeschool her grandchildren during the Covid pandemic. Megan was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church and an avid traveler, always up for the next adventure. Lovingly known as “Pantsy”, she touched countless lives with her kind and giving spirit. Her loving, generous legacy will live on.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Greg Dixon; a son and daughter-in-law, Cory and Sarah Dixon; daughters and sons-in-law, Jenny & J.D. Shanks, Emily and Adam Partyka, and Addie and Braxton Williams; seven grandchildren, Charlotte, Chloe, Henry, Camille, Matilda, Clarice, and Teddy; brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Nancy Hughes; sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Ron Dickerhoff; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Schindler; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Martin V. Hughes.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, at McPeek-Hoekstra Funeral Home, 133 South Prospect Street in Granville. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 23, at the Centenary United Methodist Church, 102 East Broadway in Granville with Rev. Casey Wilson as Celebrant.
