Frances Morris

A Funeral Mass for Frances Marie D. Morris, 88, of Newark, will be held Friday, February 11, 2022 at 3:00 PM at the Church of St. Edward the Confessor, 785 Newark-Granville Road in Granville with Msgr. Paul P. Enke as celebrant.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.

A retired teacher with Bloom-Carroll Local School District for over 30 years, Fran passed away on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2022 at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark.  She was born in Johnstown, PA to the late Geza and Marie Doboy.

Fran was an active member and Eucharistic minister at St. Edward’s Church.  She loved to socialize, and for years, she thoroughly enjoyed volunteering in the office for Hospice of Central Ohio and ushering for the Midland Theatre.  Fran was truly an energetic, loving and caring matriarch who greatly adored her 14 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Surviving are her sons and son-in-law, Bob (Linda) Morris, Ron (Lauri) Morris, Randy (Alane) Morris, and  Bruce Pannecouk; grandchildren,  Alicia (Paul), Celeste (Nicholas), Allen (Patricia), Michelle (David), Colleen (Daniel), James, John, Peter, Thomas,  Joshua (Rachael), David (Laura), Devon (Melissa), Brittany, and Jenni(Burt); 21 great grandchildren; and sister, Jacqueline Marra.

In addition to her parents, Fran is preceded in death by her daughter, Robin; and siblings, Carl, Bob, Joe and Emma.
