Betty, the epitome of a proverbs 31 Woman and retired Certified Nurse’s Aide in Newark, passed away Sunday afternoon November 20, 2022 at St. Ann’s Hospital surrounded by family.  A resident of Alexandria for the past 44 years, Betty was born March 20, 1940 in Columbus.  Betty was also fully licensed as both a Beautician and a Barber with her manager’s license, as well.  Mom left her first career as the best White Castle car hop ever, where she met the love of her life to become an awesome full-time mother and homemaker for her three children.

Betty was the always a faithful, Christian woman who loved her God and her family well.  She mentored as both a Troop Leader of Girl Scouts for her daughters and Den Mother of Boy Scouts for her son.  Betty also lead and witnessed to the youth fellowship at her Church.  She donated her time and energy for several years at a member of the Twig group supporting the local Hospital. Betty truly was the supporting woman behind the successful man and love of her life.  Only after Jim’s light extinguished, was she able to emerge and let all clearly see the magnificent independent women she was.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory can be made to the Alexandria United Methodist Church, 72 Church St., Alexandria, OH 43001.
