So very sorry to hear of Sylvia's passing. I knew her through Mary and visited her home several times. She was a wonderful woman, I am happy to have known her. My sincere condolences to your whole family.

My heart grieves with all of you as I remember your sweet mother (grandmother and great grandmother). She was such a sweet, warm, gracious lady exuding kindness and love. Although we have only exchanged yearly Christmas cards, letters and e-mails over the past 40 years, I always enjoyed hearing from her. She now joins the love of her life in heaven for eternity. She was such a special lady . . .

Everyone who had the blessing to meet and know Sylvia would notice right away her bright sparkling blue eyes, contagious smile and rosy little cheeks. She laughed so easily (even at herself sometimes) and with her gentle spirit, warmth and grace made friends easily. Oh how her stories will be missed. And her quick wit with which she had so many little sayings for : "Don't let your alligator mouth override your hummingbird rear" has to be my favorite for "those with strong opinions on things". Dearest friend, we had more coffee to drink and we never did make to that winery. My heart will ache for a while, but I know you are so happy to now be with loved ones gone before and in the arms of your beloved Johann and your Lord and Savior. When my Mother passed I found comfort in another of your sayings "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure." Memories of you precious Sylvia, our times together, and our adventures will be treasured forever until we meet again. You are probably already planning a daffodil show behind the gates of Heaven.

I’m so sorry to hear Sylvia passed. She seemed so strong and confident just weeks ago. I fondly recall her bright sparkling eyes, quick laugh, sharp wit, sweet-thoughtful soul, and strong faith. I really enjoyed listening to her stories packaged in a positive outlook. Sylvia will be missed very much! But her friends and relatives, including my parents Bob and Wilma, will welcome her to her new Home. I’m sure heavenly discussions are MUCH more lively now with Sylvia! With deep sympathy, Gloria
