Welcome to the memorial page for

Rose-Ann Brauner

July 26, 2016

Rose-Ann Brauner, 88, of Granville passed away July 26, 2016 at Kendal at Granville.  She was born in Columbus to the late Fred and Ernestine (Wirthwein) Frank.

Rose-Ann was smart, fun-loving, a great conversationalist, and a woman of strong faith.  She was raised in German Village and graduated from South High School.  She met her husband of 55 years, the late Frank Brauner, riding the street car to Ohio State University where they both graduated from the College of Pharmacy.    Rose-Ann and Frank raised 5 children on the east side of Columbus.  She was active with her family through scouting, serving as a Den Mother and Troop Leader, and school activities, serving as PTA President which would earn her Honorary Life Membership in the PTA.  Their church home was Grace United Church of Christ where she was a member of Consistory and enjoyed fellowship through Truth Seekers and Uniters.  Rose-Ann was a Registered Pharmacist for 60 years and worked for Dane, Sloan, and Sun Drugs in Columbus.  In retirement, Rose-Ann and Frank moved to Granville where they especially enjoyed biking on the many trails.  Rose-Ann was active in the Granville Kiwanis Club and a 22-year volunteer for American Red Cross Blood Services in Franklin and Licking Counties and was awarded Outstanding Volunteer in 1989.  She and her husband were avid travelers - snorkeling in the Cayman Islands and horseback riding out West were favorite destinations.   In later years, she enjoyed crossword puzzles and daily walks.  Rose-Ann was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Granville.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, John and Shannon Brauner, Carolyn and Russell Mahy, Elizabeth and Greg Groves, Barbara Stickler, and Jane and Mark Federer; grandchildren, Jordan, Morgan, Andrew, and Adam Brauner, Christina and Natalie Mahy, Megan Lyons and her husband Jim, and Matthew and Anne Marie Federer; great grandchildren, James and Ainslee Lyons.

In addition to her parents and husband, Rose-Ann was preceded in death by infant son, Robert, and son-in-law, Jim Stickler.
