Dear Joan and family,

I was saddened to hear of Gil's passing. I was a student of Joan at Ohio Dominican and Gil actually did some legal work for me about 15 years ago. During our conversation I made the connection with ODU and my classes taught by Joan. In what were only a few appointments with Gil I remember him sharing his fondness for the outdoors and walks with his dogs. I hope that your memories of good times with him bring you comfort at this difficult time. Gil and your entire family will be in my prayers.

Sincere sympathy,
Allyn Brehl

My Uncle Larry was an inspiration in my life at an early age. I remember sitting at my grandma and grandpas talking around the table. Uncle Larry was always intelligent and articulate in conversation. Saying goodbye to someone we love is heartbreaking. May you find comfort in all the special memories shared with Larry.

Gil and I practiced law together in Columbus many many years ago and were good friends. He was a fine lawyer and really cared about the welfare of his clients. We both lived in Upper Arlington and seeing him out jogging motivated me to do the same. He was a wonderful person and will be greatly missed by those of us who knew him over the years.
