Beverly R. Harris

A memorial service celebrating the life of Beverly R. Harris, 77, of Granville will be held Friday, August 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 107 E. Broadway, Granville with Rev. Dr. Stephen H. Applegate as celebrant. 

Beverly, a retired deputy auditor from the City of Newark, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Middleton in Granville.  She was born in Emmett, ID to the late Robert and Inez Harris.

Beverly loved spending time with people, especially at the Granville Senior Center or over meals with friends. She also loved animals and was very active volunteering or contributing to the Licking County Humane Society. Beverly greatly enjoyed traveling with Freedom Years to locations all over the globe including Russia, Greece, Italy, Africa, Turkey, and Sweden, to name a few.  Beverly treasured her time spent at her family’s cabin in McCall, ID enjoying skiing, swimming, and diving. She also enjoyed reading, playing cards, working crossword puzzles and had a deep appreciation for local art.

Surviving are her children and spouses, Gregory and Beth Hall of Johnstown, David and Chandra Hall of Phenix City, AL, and Kimberly and Dean Markle of Newark; grandchildren, Annie (Adam) Fink, Atlanta (Aaron) Trzcinski, Harrison (Haley) Hall, Alex Hall, Mitchell (Kimberly) Markle, Cody (Megan) Markle, and Courtney Hall; 13 great grandchildren; brother, Richard and Denise Harris of Indian Land, SC; niece, Tiffany Harris; nephews, Tim (Kana Aoki) Harris and Jonathan (Sandy) Harris; and her fur babies, “Panda” and “Chico”.    

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Phoenix Hall.
